The European Control Association (EUCA) through the Student Travel Support Program enables promising students to attend the European Control Conference (ECC) and present their papers, through support covering the conference tax and subsistence. The total budget for ECC23 is €7200. The level of support per student is up to €600. It covers the student registration (ca €350) and 3 hotel nights at the conference hotel.
To be eligible for either program, an applicant must
• be an author or co-author of (at least) one paper accepted for presentation at the ECC;
• present at least one of the accepted papers in-person;
• be a student (PhD, Master or Bachelor student) at a scientific institution.
In case the number of applicants exceeds the budget, additional criteria will be used to make a selection among the applicants. These additional criteria, in decreasing order of importance, prefer applicants who
• have not benefited from this scheme in the last two years.
• will present more than one paper at the conference.
• are the first author of the accepted paper.
• have low income and travel cost cannot be covered by other sources.
In addition, the selection committee may decide to limit support where more than one presenter from the same institution would otherwise be offered support to attend the same conference.
Final decisions will be made by a selection committee chosen by the conference organizers.
